Bio-Note

Patrick Colm Hogan is a Board of Trustees Distinguished Professor at the University of Connecticut, where he is on the faculty of the English Department, as well as the Cognitive Science Program and the Program in Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies. He is the author of twenty-five scholarly books, including Colonialism and Cultural Identity (2000), Empire and Poetic Voice (2004), Understanding Nationalism: On Narrative, Identity, and Cognitive Science (2009) and Imagining Kashmir: Emplotment and Colonialism (2016). His novel treating a fictional British colony in the early 20thCentury, A People Without Shame, is forthcoming from Blackwater Press in 2023.
